Showdown / Robert Stokesberry.

Summary:

Trouble has a way of finding Clay Parder. After minding his own business and heading away from some undeserved trouble, Clay decides to ride into an isolated town to look for a drink. Unfortunately, he then finds himself smack dab in the middle of a power struggle between ambitious town marshals and a corrupt sheriff. He sides with the marshals and before long it is either kill or be killed as the sheriff, allied with a savage bandit gang, goes after the marshals and anyone else standing in his way. In addition to the treachery and greed of the men, along with the dangerous gunplay, Clay also finds himself caught between two very different women, a situation filled with almost as much danger as the war between the lawmen.
